Orthopedic + Pelvic Health Physical Therapy in Arlington Heights, IL
Dr. Lina Alvino
I created Resolve PT and Performance to give my community the physical therapy you deserve: one-on-one care from an evidence-based practitioner.
As a lifelong runner who has dealt with tendinopathies, sprains, and pelvic floor issues myself, I recognize the impact of not being able to do what you love.
Whether you’re a high school runner managing a bone stress injury, a new mom recovering after a c-section, or a masters runner dealing with tendinopathy, I’m here to help! My goal is to be your guide to getting you back to training, racing, or getting back in the gym through personalized care and progressive exercise programming.
Services
Physical Therapy for Runners
In traditional PT clinics, runners are often not given the care they need to continue running and optimize their performance. As a PT and avid runner myself, my number one goal is to keep you running as much as possible.
As a performance focused PT, I will do a full movement assessment and establish a solid plan of exercises to not only decrease your pain but keep you running for life.
Pelvic Health Physical Therapy
Pelvic floor symptoms have long been taboo, but thankfully information is getting out to women that you don’t have to just live with these issues. Whether you’re trying to get pregnant, recovering from a c-section or vaginal delivery, or want to be intimate with your partner again post-menopause, I am here to empower you and teach you about how your body works.
Onero Program
Join a group of women with osteoporosis who are working toward a similar goal: improve their bone density while also building strength and having fun!
Onero is an evidence-based program to improve bone mineral density in people with osteoporosis.
My Philosophy
As a strength and movement based Physical Therapist, I want you to feel confident and strong as opposed to fearful and broken. For my runners, I want to get to know you as a human, what motivates you to train, what your life looks like outside of running, and your injury history. The biggest predictor of a running injury is having a previous injury, so I’m here to help you understand your body and prevent injuries in the future.
If you’re pregnant or wanting to get active again postpartum, we will go over pelvic floor anatomy, why your pelvic floor and core are important, and will work on exercises to bridge the gap between where you are now and where you want to be.
I believe that the body is very resilient, and however long you’ve been dealing with a running injury or pelvic floor symptoms, I’m here to help!
