FAQ
-
Do I need a referral to start physical therapy?
No referral is needed! Illinois is a direct-access state, meaning you can book with us directly without waiting for a doctor’s referral.
-
Do you accept insurance?
We are in-network with BCBS of IL (PPO) and Medicare Part B. For all other insurance plans, we are happy to work with you to submit a “superbill” for physical therapy through any out-of-network benefits your insurance plan may have.
Our cash pay rate for physical therapy is $175/60 minute session. -
Is an internal exam needed for pelvic floor PT?
While an internal exam may be recommended, it is ultimately 100% up to you whether we perform the exam or not.
My patients are always in the drivers seat, so if an internal exam isn’t something you are ready for/comfortable with, there are many other options that can be part of your assessment and treatment plan.
-
Do you treat men for pelvic health conditions?
Yes! I have the most experience treating women, but I have training and experience treating:
- Erectile dysfunction
- Athletic pubalgia
- Stress or fecal incontinence
- Inguinal or abdominal hernia
- Pelvic pain
- Constipation
-
What should I expect the first visit?
We start with a conversation: your medical history, goals, exercise experience, past physical therapy or medical treatments.
We’ll do a movement assessment, test your strength, balance and coordination, and come up with a game plan to get you started on your health journey.
